In 1961, Agro Land & Cattle Co., Inc. was formed in Tucson, Arizona as a livestock company.
In 1963, Agro Land & Cattle Co., Inc. purchased Trail Dust Town and Pinnacle Peak. The Company was able to market their cattle to Pinnacle Peak, which created an integrated system that continued for decades.
Coinciding with Tucson's growth, Pinnacle Peak steakhouse grew in popularity and operations expanded dramatically. With the subsequent addition of numerous other Pinnacle Peak restaurants in California and elsewhere, El Corral Restaurant and the Savoy Opera House, Agro soon exceeded its ability to furnish beef for its restaurant division.
Agro no longer supplies the restaurant with beef, preferring instead to run registered Texas Longhorn cattle strictly as show and breeding stock. Today, the operations of Agro Land & Cattle Co., Inc. are based solely within the State of Arizona.
The Company employs approximately 300 people
and ranks amongst the top 200 Corporations within the State. The primary
